New Pallet Exhibition: ‘Feelings’ by Kirsten Riley

Norwich based artist Kirsten Riley’s new solo exhibition Feelings is now on show in Pallet.

Disentangling a Dream

With a background in theatre, Riley uses mixed media to explore themes such as memory, motherhood, loss and transience in her work:

“I create to explore, discover and understand feelings and emotions; about myself, the human condition and the changing and challenging world around me.”

Courage

“My work is abstract but there are figurative elements. I am process led and work on several pieces at once, usually in a series, and there is a constant dialogue taking place as each work informs the other. I work freely in mixed media, layering and stripping back in a call and response practice. The history of a work itself tells a story and I find there is some alchemy involved when the work takes over and evolves.”

Citrus Trek

Come see the work for yourselves, on show until Wednesday 5th June, and enjoy with a drink from the bar at Pallet, 6 Old Fox Yard, IP14 1AB.
